Amazon Workers in New Jersey to Vote on Unionizing

Union organizers have received the appropriate to carry an election at an Amazon.com facility in New Jersey, marking the most recent union push since employees at a New York warehouse voted earlier this month to determine the corporate’s first union within the U.S.

Native 13 Worldwide Brotherhood of the Commerce Union, which filed for a vote Friday, has proved it has sufficient help from employees on the facility positioned in Bayonne, N.J., to carry an election, in accordance with the Nationwide Labor Relations Board. To realize the appropriate to carry an election, petitioners sometimes have to point out proof that a minimum of 30% of employees at a location are considering an election.
