Newport, NH, man charged with child sexual assault

NEWPORT, N.H. (WCAX) – A New Hampshire man is behind bars after police say he sexually assaulted a minor.

The Newport Police last month received a report of an alleged sexual assault of a child by a known adult. They arrested Ryan Barbin, 41, on Wednesday.

He faces charges including aggravated felonious sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a minor as well as possessing a stolen gun.

He is being held without bail.
