Manchester Felon Arrested On Gun Charge In Nashua
NASHUA, NH — A felon from the Queen City was recently arrested on a felony gun charge in Nashua, according to police.
During a motor vehicle stop on Main Dunstable Road on April 6, an officer spoke about vehicle violations with Gregory Williford III, 26, of Manchester. The officer, according to Sgt. John Cinelli, the public information officer and communications division supervisor for the Nashua Police Department, accused Williford of “acting oddly during the motor vehicle stop and a brief roadside investigation followed.”
Later, officers found him in possession of a loaded semi-automatic pistol, Cinelli said. Williford, though, was a felon due to aggravated assault and aggravated abuse of a disabled or elderly adult charges, both felonies, in Utah.
“These convictions prohibit Williford from possessing a firearm in the state of New Hampshire,” Cinelli stated.
Williford was arrested on a convicted felon in possession of a deadly weapon charge, a felony. He was held on preventative detention and was scheduled to appear in Nashua District Court on April 8.
Anyone with information about the case was asked to contact the Nashua Police Department Crime Line at 603-589-1665.
