Maine defeats New Hampshire 5-0 in Hockey East Playoffs Quarterfinal

ORONO, Maine (WABI) – The Alfond was rocking Saturday night as the Maine Black Bears took on the New Hampshire Wildcats in the Quarterfinal round of the 2024 Hockey East Tournament.

Coming out of the first period the score remained 0-0.

But it didn’t take long for that to change in the second period.

Less than a minute in Josh Nadeau broke the stalemate with an assist from Bradly Nadeau and Nolan Renwick.

Maine made it 2-0 just before the halfway mark of the second period off a power play goal from Ben Poisson.

The Black Bears took a 3-0 with roughly 5 minutes left in the second thanks to a goal from Bradly Nadeau.

Bradly made it 4-0 off a one-timer on a Maine power play in the third period.

With less than three minutes left in the contest Nolan Renwick scored to make it 5-0.
