Lebanon's Pelletier wins 5th New Hampshire Stroke Play Championship

Aug. 8—Lebanon’s Pat Pelletier made six birdies over his 6-under par final round to win his fifth New Hampshire Stroke Play Championship on Thursday at Bretwood Golf Course in Keene.

Pelletier, 36, started his final round of the three-day tournament in second place — one shot behind Hooksett’s Jeremy Burke and Boscawen resident Andrew Surprenant.

Pelletier opened Thursday with birdies on his first three holes and did not post a bogey on the way to a 66. The New Hampshire Golf Association e-Club member finished with a 9-under 207 (69-72-66).

Burke, 20, shot a 1-under 71 on Thursday, finishing second with a 5-under 211 (73-67-71). Suprenant, 18, finished fourth with a 3-under 213 (70-70-73), one stroke behind The Shattuck’s Damon Salo (74-67-71).

Pelletier last won the Stroke Play in 2020 at Montcalm Golf Club in Enfield.
