Tornado watch issued for parts of Massachusetts and New Hampshire as severe weather rolls through

NEW ENGLAND — A tornado watch has been issued for parts of Massachusetts and New Hampshire as severe weather rolls through.

Essex, Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire, Middlesex and Worcester counties are on a tornado watch until 3 p.m.

Belknap, Carroll, Cheshire, Grafton, Hillsborough, Merrimack, Rockingham, Strafford, and Sullivan counties are also on a tornado watch until 3 p.m.

A tornado warning was issued in Southwestern Rockingham County and Southeastern Hillsborough County in Southern New Hampshire but has expired.

Middlesex County in Massachusetts was under a Tornado Warning until 9:15 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Central Middlesex County; Eastern Essex; Eastern Hampden; Eastern Hampshire; Eastern Norfolk; Northern Bristol; Northwest Middlesex County; Southeast Middlesex; Southern Bristol; Southern Worcester; Suffolk; Western Essex; Western Hampden; Western Hampshire and Western Norfolk counties are all under flood watches.

Boston 25 Meteorologists recommend getting off the roads and staying inside away from windows.

A tornado watch is also in effect in Berkshire, Essex, Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire, Middlesex, and Worcester counties.
