More than 50,000 Massachusetts licenses need to be replaced due to printing mistake
BOSTON – Hundreds of Massachusetts drivers licenses and identification playing cards should be reissued due to a printing mistake.
MassDOT says 53,680 have to get replaced as a result of they’re lacking a fraud safety characteristic.
A Virginia-based printing firm notified the RMV in late Might about the issue.
Replacements will likely be mailed out beginning Monday. Those that obtain replacements may also be advised to destroy their outdated licenses.
