A total of 24 Massachusetts mayors and other municipal leaders are asking the state’s 10-member congressional delegation to protect funding to libraries and museums.

Springfield Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, Greenfield Mayor Virginia Desorgher and Northampton Mayor Gina-Louise Sciarra joined with Worcester Mayor Joseph Petty and others across the state to share concerns over an executive order signed March 14 that would target federal funding to libraries and museums through the Institute of Museums and Library Services.
