Amid flooding in Massachusetts, when does rain return?
As some Massachusetts towns continue to deal with flooding, more rain is expected later this week.
“We’ll get a break from the rain and thunderstorms for a few days before the unsettled weather returns Thursday into the weekend,” the National Weather Service tweeted Tuesday.

The weather service is predicting rain could begin again around 6 p.m. Thursday. But Friday has the highest chances of rain and thunderstorms across the commonwealth. Rain could continue Saturday and Sunday.
Parts of Western Massachusetts, including Greenfield, remain under a flood warning Tuesday.

“Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas,” the National Weather Service warned. “Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.”
Three people had to be rescued from their homes by Western Massachusetts Technical Rescue Team Monday due to flood of the Mill River in Williamsburg, according to WWLP.
