3 earthquakes strike off Rhode Island/Massachusetts coast

Did you’re feeling it? 3 earthquakes struck off the coast of Rhode Island and close to Massachusetts this weekend.

Just a few Rhode Island residents reported feeling a magnitude 2.2 earthquake that came about 18 km SSE of Narragansett Pier, Rhode Island Saturday morning at 4:42 a.m.

Just a few handful of individuals reported feeling a tremor when a 2.5 magnitude quake struck 17 km SSE of Narragansett Pier, Rhode Island at 10:15 p.m. on Saturday night time.

This morning, a 2.2 magnitude earthquake 18 km ENE of New Shoreham, Rhode Island was felt at 2:40 a.m.

Earthquakes on the whole are uncommon in southern New England which makes the occasions this weekend much more shocking.
