2 names added to Massachusetts Fallen Heroes Memorial
BOSTON — The seventh re-dedication ceremony of the Massachusetts Fallen Heroes Memorial occurred Friday. An honor guard participated within the Seaport ceremony to salute fellow heroes who misplaced their lives within the line of responsibility.
Members of Gold Star households unveiled two new names added to the glass panels.
A soldier given the nation’s highest award for bravery saluted their service.
“Right this moment is our Thanksgiving. Right this moment is the day that we fall on our knees and thank God not just for the sacrifice however for the truth that these women and men lived, the lives that had been saved, the little kids which have dads and mothers due to that blood sacrifice is with us each single day,” stated Medal of Honor recipient Employees Sergeant David Bellavia.
The ceremony additionally honored the newly fallen with a 21-gun salute.
