$1 million lottery prize won from ticket bought at 7-Eleven in Mass.

One lucky lottery player scored a seven-digit win, claiming a $1 million prize from a ticket bought at a 7-Eleven store in Gloucester on Friday.

The $1 million prize, which amounts to $650,000 before taxes, was won from a “$4,000,000 Monopoly Doubler” scratch ticket sold at the 7-Eleven at 50 Bass Ave. in Gloucester, according to the Massachusetts State Lottery’s website.

The odds of winning $1 million playing “$4,000,000 Monopoly Doubler” are one in 1.512 million. The seven-digit award is the second-highest prize that can be won in the game next to the $4 million award. The odds of winning the top prize are one in 3.78 million.

Every day, the state lottery posts a list online of all the winning tickets in Massachusetts worth at least $600. There were 716 prizes worth $600 or more won or claimed in the state Friday, including seven in Springfield, 26 in Worcester and 70 in Boston.

So far in 2024, the biggest lottery prize won in the state was the $5.37 million prize won from a Megabucks drawing held on May 4.
