Maryland school lockdowns due to suspicious activity lifted, suspect in custody

A suspect is in custody after a number of Maryland colleges have been put into lockdown as a result of “suspicious exercise” on Wednesday, authorities mentioned.

Montgomery County police introduced simply earlier than 11 a.m. that Clarksburg Excessive College and Rocky Mill Center College have been sheltering in place. About an hour later, police said a suspect was in custody and the lockdowns on the colleges have been lifted.

“Police have cleared Clarksburg Excessive College to raise from lockdown standing and resume regular college operations,” Montgomery County Public Colleges said. “Different colleges within the space have been cleared to exit from shelter-in-place.”

Studies of a person armed with a gun close to the colleges prompted the lockdown orders, FOX5DC reported, citing police.

Authorities did not instantly launch additional particulars.
