The winter sports activities seasons are rolling proper alongside, and with that comes a brand new spherical of northern Maine athlete of the Week nominations.

Listed below are some high athlete performances from the week that was. Solid your vote for who you assume deserves the title till 6 p.m. Thursday.

Ethan Daigle, junior, boys basketball, Fort Kent: Daigle scored 42 factors in a 73-70 double additional time win over Knowledge.

Shane Feeney, senior, boys basketball, Machias: Feeney scored 29 factors, hauled in 19 rebounds and in addition grabbed six steals in a 104-36 win over Eastport.

Bella McLaughlin, senior, ladies basketball, Hampden Academy: McLaughlin had 28 factors, 5 rebounds and two steals in a 56-50 loss to Bangor.

Teigan Pelletier, senior, boys basketball, Oxford Hills: Pelletier dropped 29 factors in an 83-62 win over Noble.

Abbie Quinn, senior, ladies basketball, Bangor: Quinn had 18 factors — together with 12 within the remaining 9 minutes — to steer Bangor previous Hampden, in addition to six rebounds.

Jordin Williams, sophomore, ladies ice hockey, Penobscot Pioneers: Williams had 4 objectives and two assists in a 7-1 win over defending state champ Lewiston.
