One person in custody following an incident in Augusta

Augusta, Maine (WABI) -One person is in police custody following an incident involving Augusta Police and State Police that closed a portion of Route 3 for several hours Tuesday.

Police say the suspect was inside a business that was evacuated earlier Tuesday afternoon.

Maine State Tactical and Crisis Negotiations teams were also on scene.

Route 3 was closed from Church Hill road to Bolton Hill road.

The road has since been reopened.
