Maine Troop Greeters hold ceremony for members who died during the pandemic

Maine Troop Greeters gathered in entrance of the Bangor Worldwide Airport to memorialize those that died with their names etched into bricks.

BANGOR, Maine — It was solely just lately that the Maine Troop Greeters on the Bangor Worldwide Airport determined to assemble in individual after a hiatus through the pandemic.

Through the time they weren’t capable of collect amidst the pandemic, fellow Troop Greeters, together with service canine, who have been pals, household, and veterans handed away.

A dedication ceremony was held Friday morning for the people who handed away on the Troop Greeter Pavilion in entrance of the airport.

Their names have been etched into bricks in entrance of the pavilion the place family and friends can honor them and know they won’t be forgotten.

“[When] wanting round you may see the feelings and suppose that we’re not forgetting them … that we’re going to honor them identical to we do our troops,” Maine Troop Greeter Cathy Czarnecki mentioned.
