Maine State Police hosting Junior Trooper Academy
VASSALBORO, Maine (WABI) – Maine State Police is hosting a three-day Junior Trooper Academy for high school juniors and seniors interested in learning about a career with them.
The program is from June 25-27 at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in Vassalboro.
It’s free, and lodging and meals will be provided.
Participants are required to stay overnight through the entire program.
Space is limited, and participants will be selected by May 25 from those who apply.
Courses may include K9 demonstration, an overview of specialty teams, self-defense, and motor vehicle stops.
