Maine moving company pays fine for threatening consumers who left negative reviews

A transferring firm has agreed to pay Maine $125,000 in fines for threatening customers who posted detrimental critiques of their enterprise.

The Maine Workplace of the Lawyer Normal says Liberty Bell Shifting and Storage engaged in a number of practices that violate state and federal legal guidelines, together with using a deceptive e-mail deal with made to seem it was the corporate’s legal professional. The AG’s workplace says the e-mail was used to threaten prospects who left detrimental critiques.

In a written assertion, Maine Lawyer Normal Aaron Frey says it is ironic that an organization named for an iconic image of freedom would violate free speech and different authorized rights of customers.

Liberty Bell Shifting and Storage is owned by Kevin Finkenaur. The corporate’s web site lists areas all through Maine and in 4 different states.
