Maine beach makes list of best beaches in the country
OGUNQUIT, Maine (WMTW) – Ogunquit Beach is getting recognition as one of the best beaches in the country.
A listing from Tripadvisor ranks Ogunquit Beach one of the best in the United States. It is noted for its beauty, cleanliness, white sand, gorgeous views and more.
At number 30, Ogunquit Beach is the highest rated beach in New England, according to Tripdavisor.
According to the Ogunquit Chamber of Commerce, Ogunquit Beach has been awarded with TripAdvisor’s Travelers Choice/Best of the Best as one of the top 25 beaches in the U.S. for the three years in a row.
Ogunquit Beach features three miles of wide sandy beach stretch from Main Beach, near the center of town, to Footbridge Beach and North Beach. There is paid parking at all three beaches.
La Jolla Cove in San Diego topped the list followed by Clearwater Beach in Clearwater, Florida and Siesta Beach in Siesta Key, Florida.
