Former Maine Black Bear Zavier Scott scores in preseason matchup against Cardinals
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana (WABI) – After taking the field for the Maine Black Bears Zavier Scott is fighting for a spot on the Indianapolis Colts roster.
In Saturday’s preseason matchup against the Cardinals Scott got 11 carries for 55 yards and a touchdown.
Scott’s touchdown came in the third quarter off a 6-yard rush after getting tripped up at the 3-yard line.
Scott kept himself off the ground and leaped into the endzone giving the Colts the 14-10 lead.
Indianapolis would go on to win the matchup 21-13.
Scott’s 11 carries were the most by a Colts running back in the entire game.
