A dust bike rider needed to be flown by LifeFlight helicopter to Maine Medical Heart in Portland after he collided with a pickup truck in Naples Thursday afternoon.
Joshua Cavallaro, 20, of Naples, suffered head accidents that weren’t life-threatening, Capt. Kerry Joyce of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Workplace stated in a press release.
Joyce stated the driving force of the Ford 450 pickup truck, 80-year-old Robert Mason of Naples, was making a left hand flip onto Maplewood Highway from Songo Faculty Highway round 2:30 p.m. when Cavallaro’s off-road, grime bike hit the passenger facet of the truck. Cavallaro, who was not sporting a helmet, was thrown from his bike, which went underneath the truck and was dragged alongside the roadway.
Cavallaro was handled on the scene by Naples Fireplace and Rescue employees earlier than being transported to the hospital. His grime bike was destroyed and the truck sustained harm to its passenger facet. The reason for the crash stays underneath investigation.
