Betty Maine

Betty Maine, age 87, formally of Amboy, handed away peacefully on October 10, 2022, at Oak Terrace in North Mankato, along with her husband of 70 years by her aspect. Non-public household companies and inurnment will happen at a later date at Nice Hill Cemetery, rural Pequot Lakes, Minnesota.

Betty Jean Yore was born June 6, 1935 in Winnebago, Minnesota, the daughter of John O. Yore and Ruby Bruce. Raised by her Mom’s twin sister Ruth Stoddard, Betty grew up and attended faculty in Winnebago. On September 18, 1952 she married Dale Maine in Mason Metropolis, Iowa. Their early marriage was spent at rural Pequot Lakes and Keewatin, earlier than returning to rural Winnebago the place they lived on a farm simply west of the Basey Church and raised their household of 4. After 29 years, they moved into Amboy the place they made their residence till 2019 after they settled into Oak Terrace.

A gifted homemaker, Betty was a prolific prepare dinner, baker, decorator and entertainer. An avid reader and author, she all the time had a ebook going and a stack of magazines by her aspect. Above all else she treasured spending time along with her husband and household.

Two sons: Michael Maine of Winnebago and David (Terri) Maine of Madison Lake. 8 grandchildren: Nicholas Weerts of Winnebago, Christopher (Sara) Weerts of Clarkdale, AZ, Kala (Ryan) Hjelle of Alexandria, MN, Benjamin (Laura) Peymann of Abilene, TX, Tara (Jason) Lobitz of North Mankato, Jocelin (Tammy) Maine of Madison Lake, Jeremiah Maine of Madison Lake, and Samantha Maine of Lewisville. 12 great-grandchildren: Jordan Weerts, Lily, Eva and Griffin Hjelle, Owen, Grace and Ella Peymann, Adrianna, Melina, Adam and Sophia Lobitz, and David Reynolds. Her half-sister Audrey Skinner of Lucerne, CA. Brother in-law Horton (Jackie) Maine of Crosslake, MN. 4 sister in-laws: Marian Maine of Pequot Lakes, Adelia Maine of Fridley, Ruth Maine of Pequot Lakes and Carol Hines of Ellsworth, WI. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and different family members and pals.

She was proceeded in loss of life by: Father John Yore, Mom Ruby (Bruce) King, Aunt Ruth (Bruce) Stoddard, Brother Don Yore King, 2 sisters: Helen (Pat) Kleine and Hank (Invoice) Nations, 3 brothers in infancy. Father & Mom in-law Hiram & Laura Maine. 4 brother in-laws: Westal Maine, Boyd Maine, Albert Maine and Invoice Hines.

The household want to categorical nice appreciation and gratitude to Oak Terrace and St. Croix Hospice for the loving care prolonged to Betty and her household.
