Anne Simon leaves Maine’s 68-49 win over UMass Lowell with rolled ankle

ORONO, Maine (WABI) – Maine graduate guard Anne Simon limped off the floor with a rolled right ankle with 7:56 left in the third quarter of the Black Bears’ 68-49 win over UMass Lowell on Thursday night at The Pit in Orono.

She’s day-to-day with the injury(WABI)

Simon is day-to-day with the injury, and it’s the second-straight year she’s rolled her right ankle.

Simon finished the night with 15 points and eight rebounds to go with one assist and turnover.

She was +25 in 20:09 on the court.

Maine led Lowell 44-23 when Simon went down.

Fellow Black Bear and America East Player of the Year Adrianna Smith ended up leading all scorers with 25 points.

The Black Bears are back in action on Saturday at 2 p.m. when they visit Bryant.
