A Maine horse was rescued with an excavator last weekend
A Maine horse was rescued after becoming trapped in a mud hole in Norway over the weekend.
The horse named Dancer and its rider had slid down an incline into a mud hole on Sunday, according to a post on the Casco Fire Rescue Facebook account. It took around four hours to free the horse, and an excavator was called in to pull the animal from the mud.
Veterinarians at the scene evaluated the horse, and it was safely transported home. The rider was not injured.
