1 dead, 1 deputy injured after shooting leads to police chase in Maine

FRYEBURG, ME (WGGB/WSHM) – A man is dead, and a deputy is injured after a shooting lead to a police chase in Fryeburg, Maine Tuesday night.

The person who died is said to be a 52-year-old man and the suspect in this incident.

According to security footage of the area, multiple police cruisers were following a car down Main Street when shots were fired.

Several other cars were hit causing a number of crashes as well.

The deputy was taken to a local hospital.

No other information about the suspect’s identity or alleged crimes have been released but he was declared dead.
