Person wanted on charges in CT, Florida surrenders to police after hiding in Enfield home
A person wanted on charges in Connecticut and Florida surrendered to police after the suspect was found hiding in a home in Enfield on Saturday.
The Enfield Police Department responded to a home on Ganny Terrace along with a Florida bail enforcement officer on reports of a wanted suspect hiding within the residence.
The suspect is facing charges of criminal impersonation, engaging in pursuit and multiple motor vehicle violations in Connecticut and was also wanted in Florida with full extradition on multiple charges including aggravated assault with a firearm, discharge of a firearm into an occupied vehicle and aggravated battery with a firearm.
According to police, the suspect surrendered peacefully. Police said there was no longer any threat to the public.
Earlier in the day, Enfield police asked area residents to remain in their homes until the matter was resolved.
The investigation is ongoing, according to police.
