OXFORD — An 81-year-old town man was seriously hurt when his pickup truck veered off Riggs Street and crashed into several trees Saturday morning, state police say.

The man was unresponsive and sent to the Waterbury Hospital following the crash, which occurred in the 200 block of Riggs Street around 11:15 a.m. Saturday, Connecticut State Police said in a news release.
