Missing UConn student located, reported safe
The University of Connecticut student who went missing over the weekend has been located and reported safe, police said.
According to University of Connecticut Police Department, Furong “Betty” Li was located off-campus, contact was made with her and she is safe.
Li, who lives on campus in Storrs, was last seen leaving the area of Whitney Hall on Sunday. Her parents were unable to contact her, and UConn Police began an investigation, which remains open.
“UConn police would like to thank the external agencies providing assistance in this case, including the FBI,” the school said in a statement on Wednesday.
Police said there is no danger to the UConn community in connection to the incident.
