The WNBA Playoffs begin today, and among the four scheduled games is a showdown between the Indiana Fever vs. Connecticut Sun. Below, we’ve compiled all the info on how to watch Indiana Fever vs. Connecticut Sun Game 1, including cable and streaming options.
The Connecticut Sun is no stranger to the Playoffs, but this year marks the Indiana Fever’s first time in the top 8 since 2016. The Sun, helmed by Olympian Alyssa Thomas, made it to the semifinals in 2023 but ultimately lost to the New York Liberty. They have yet to win a Championship, but they’ve made it to the Finals four times. Their last Finals appearance was in 2022, when they lost to the Las Vegas Aces.
The Indiana Fever have also never won a championship, but they’ve competed in the Finals twice. They’ve been unable to clinch a Playoffs spot for the better part of a decade, but the team — led by rookie Caitlin Clark and veteran Kelsey Mitchell — ranked sixth in the league this season, vastly improving after a bumpy start.
The two to three Round 1 games will be spread across multiple networks, but we’ve highlighted everything you need to know about tuning in below. You can find details on other games in our 2024 WNBA streaming guide and learn how to see the Fever and Sun in person in our tickets guide.
How to watch Indiana Fever vs. Connecticut Sun in the US
The Indiana Fever and Connecticut Sun games will be spread across ABC, ESPN, and ESPN2. Game 1 will air on ABC, Game 2 on ESPN, and Game 3 on ESPN2 (if the series goes to a third game). Cord-cutters can still get in on the action via a month-to-month live TV package.
Sling TV is your cheapest option. You’ll need to subscribe to Sling Orange + Blue, which costs $55 a month, to access ESPN channels and ABC. It’s important to note that Sling’s local channel coverage is selective, so you should double-check to ensure that it’s available in your region before subscribing. Right now, new customers can get $25 off their first month, meaning that you can catch the entire month of Playoffs for just $30.
Sling TV Subscription
For just the essentials without any extra fluff, Sling TV is the streaming service you’re looking for. It’s more customizable than other plans, with three options you can choose from, so you pay for only what you need. New members get their first month for $25 off.
Fubo is another great live TV option with a sports focus. The streaming service carries more than 180 live channels, including ESPN channels and broad ABC coverage. Subscriptions are a bit more expensive, at $80 a month, but new customers can try it out free for one week (and then get their first month for a reduced rate of $50).
Fubo Pro Plan
Fubo is the streaming service for sports fans. Its huge library of channels includes regional and international sports leagues, setting it apart from the competition. You can also tack on additional programming to your plan, but it’ll cost you extra.
How to watch Indiana Fever vs. Connecticut Sun from anywhere
If you’re traveling outside the US and still want to keep up with games via your streaming subscriptions, you can do so with a VPN. Short for virtual private networks, VPNs enable people to change their device’s virtual location so that they can still use their go-to websites and apps from anywhere. This option will work best for Americans who are simply traveling abroad since the services we’ve highlighted require US payment methods.

Several beaches closed to swimming due to potential bacteria in the water
Several Connecticut swimming areas are closed due to the potential of bacteria in the water.
The heavy rain over the past few days is the reason for the concern.
Swimming is prohibited at the West Beach at Rocky Neck State Park, Sherwood Island State Park, Silver Sands State Park in Milford, and Chatfield Hollow State Park in Killingworth.
Water testing at those state parks will be redone on Wednesday with results back on Thursday.
Clinton has also suspended swimming and other water activities at its town beach until further notice. The beach remains open and all other amenities are available, according to the town.
There is no swimming allowed at all Stratford beaches until Friday, according to the Stratford Health Department.
The East Shore Health Department says beaches in East Haven, as well as Clark/Johnson Beach, Stony Creek, and Branford Point in Branford are also closed to swimming. Water samples are being taken on Wednesday and the results are expected on Thursday.
