Canton Library Hosting Talk On 1944 Hartford Circus Fire
CANTON, CT — July 6 marked the 80th anniversary of the Hartford Circus Fire, one of the worst fire disasters in US history.
Since then, the circus fire has lived in the memories of survivors and become a part of Connecticut lore. A total of 168 people were killed, many of them children and/or parents.
