XC shines at Suffolk Invite, captures Battle for Boston Common title

Hundreds gathered at Franklin Park for Suffolk College’s annual Cross Nation Invitational on Oct. 15. 

22 groups from throughout New England and past competed within the occasion, which started with the ladies’s 6k, adopted by the lads’s 8k. 

Suffolk had spectacular performances throughout the board, with the ladies’s group coming in fifth place total with a rating of 177 and the lads’s group coming in third with a rating of 115. 

Boston College inched out forward of Suffolk with a first-place rating of 17 for the lads’s group and a second-place rating of 56 for the ladies’s. Northeastern College left with the first-place title for the ladies’s group with a rating of 23.

Each the lads’s and girls’s groups crushed Emerson within the “Battle for the Boston Widespread,” a standard twin meet of the occasion.
