Melrose’s ‘The Chelsea Curve’ is ready to rock Boston Calling

This Memorial Day weekend, the Boston Calling music pageant makes its return to Harvard Athletic Advanced for the primary time since 2019. Began in 2013, Boston Calling frequently brings nationally and internationally touring acts to the commonwealth for 3 days of reside concert events.

Forward of Boston Calling, GBH Information is that includes interviews with a lot of the native abilities from proper right here in Better Boston who can be hitting the stage alongside acts like Metallica, HAIM and The Strokes.

Among the many native names on Boston Calling’s 2022 roster is The Chelsea Curve, a mod-pop impressed band out of Melrose. The band attracts heavy inspiration from British rock icons like The Jam and The Conflict, however are excited to “carry that sort of unique Boston rock sound” that’s “loud and aggressive however [still] melodic” to their performances.

The Chelsea Curve — a trio consisting of Linda Pardee on lead vocals and bass, Tim Gillis on guitar and vocals and Ron Belanger on drums — are desperate to get again on stage. To move the time through the pandemic, the band rolled out “Single Scenes” in 2021, releasing one track a month for eight months that culminated of their 2022 debut album All of the Issues.

Forward of their Friday set at Boston Calling, GBH Information caught up with The Chelsea Curve of their house studio. Prepare for pageant weekend by trying out what they needed to say, and keep tuned for extra native music forward of the pageant!
