It’s no secret that star Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown is a fashion aficionado, but what about when it comes to his kicks? Brown went sneaker shopping with Complex in Boston not too long ago, conducting an interview as they went.
In this interview, he discusses his sneaker preferences, his journey from just outside Atlanta, Georgia to college in California, his thoughts on sneaker brands, and his involvement in designing custom sneakers. Growing up, Jaylen mentioned that Jordans were a significant part of the culture, but, when he moved to California, he transitioned to a more laid-back style, including wearing Birkenstocks instead of Jordans. Brown also talked about his admiration for retired NBA star Tracy McGrady, his record-breaking supermax contract extension, and his approach to footwear choices.
Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what he had to say about sneaker culture and much more.
