55-64 – Rangers dredge up another L with 5-4 loss in extras at Boston

The Texas Rangers scored four runs but the Boston Red Sox scored five runs in extras.

Remember when the Rangers swept the White Sox and were a game below .500 and just 2.5 games out of first place? Well, despite the fact that that was just barely over two weeks ago, Texas has now tied their season-worst mark of nine games below .500 and trail in the division by 8.5 games.

Player of the Game: Seager had two of Texas’ six hits, including a two-run home run that tied the game late before hopes were pinned on Gerson Garabito and Walter Pennington in extra innings and that went about as well as you might expect.

Up Next: The Rangers continue this East Coast road trip with RHP Jose Urena set to take the mound for Texas against RHP Kutter Crawford for Boston.
