Ukraine agrees to proposed humanitarian evacuation routes 

A twin Russian-American citizen has been charged with performing as a spy within the US, in response to courtroom filings that say she ran organizations that “sought to unfold Russian propaganda.”

Elena Branson was charged Tuesday with performing and conspiring to behave within the US illegally as an agent of the Russian authorities, willfully failing to register below the International Brokers Registration Act, conspiring to commit visa fraud and making false statements to the FBI, in response to a legal criticism.

The criticism alleges that Branson fled to Russia in 2020.

From at the very least 2011, Branson labored on behalf of the Russian authorities and Russian officers to advance Russian pursuits within the US, the criticism says. Prosecutors allege she coordinated conferences for Russian officers to foyer US political officers and businesspeople, and operated organizations to publicly promote Russian authorities insurance policies.

CNN has tried to contact Branson for touch upon the costs.

The costs come as tensions between the US and Russia proceed to accentuate following Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine final month, with the US front-and-center in a multinational effort to punish Russia for its actions.
