Putin praises Russian forces for taking Luhansk region

Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Russian troops for “attaining victory” in Ukraine’s Luhansk area.

In a gathering televised by Russian state media on Monday, Protection Minister Sergei Shoigu reported to Putin the Russian advances within the space.

“Beginning June 19, [Russian] formations and army models … in cooperation with models of the second corps of the individuals’s militia of the [self-proclaimed] Luhansk Individuals’s Republic (LPR) and with the help of the southern group of troops … efficiently carried out an offensive operation to liberate the territory of the Luhansk Individuals’s Republic,” Shoigu stated.

Shoigu added that the “Gorsky cauldron” space, Lysychansk and Severodonetsk had been surrounded inside two weeks, and the Ukrainian military allegedly misplaced 5,469 troopers within the battles. 

Putin instructed Shoigu that the army personnel who contributed to preventing in LPR, might be rewarded for his or her “bravery,” and that they need to now “relaxation.”

“Different army models, together with the East and West army teams, they should fulfil their duties, in response to the beforehand instructed plan,” Putin stated. “I hope every thing might be profitable because it occurred within the [Luhansk] space,” he added.

Putin additionally praised the LPR’s militia for displaying “heroism.” “My congratulations and my phrases of gratitude,” Putin stated. “I congratulate you all and need you all the perfect.”
