Indian police have arrested a person in New Delhi in reference to the homicide of an Australian lady discovered useless on a seaside in 2018 – ending a four-year worldwide manhunt for her suspected killer.
The physique of 24-year-old Toyah Cordingley was found on a seaside within the northern Australian city of Cairns in 2018.
In an announcement issued on Friday, Indian police introduced the arrest of Rajwinder Singh, 38 – an Australian citizen of Indian origin.
The announcement comes after Queensland state police earlier this month introduced a reward of 1 million Australian {dollars} ($675,100) for anybody with data that may result in Singh’s arrest.
Authorities allege Singh fled Australia for India two days after Cordingley’s physique was discovered. Previous to his arrest he was believed to be hiding out within the state of Punjab.
