WASHINGTON – Roughly seven months after america evacuated Afghanistan, the Biden administration this week granted safety from deportation for Afghan refugees residing in america.

The administration’s announcement for “Short-term protected standing,” or TPS, for Afghans got here weeks after the Division of Homeland Safety granted the identical protections for Ukrainians residing in america.
