Wisconsin Student Reflects on SkillsUSA Win

July 25, 2022—A Wisconsin scholar is reflecting on and celebrating his latest win on the SkillsUSA competitors in June.

In line with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Owen Pryga of Grafton Excessive Faculty received gold for the SkillsUSA Automotive Upkeep and Gentle Restore. 

The nationwide competitors passed off in Atlanta, Georgia. Pryga was in a position to attend as a result of he had beforehand received on the state degree for Wisconsin in April. 

On the nationwide competitors in June, Pryga and 20 different college students competed for over six hours. They have been evaluated on their ability units relating to security, electronics, suspension, steering, brakes, engines, transmissions, and alignment.

He received a $1,000 scholarship from Harbor Freight Instruments and over $8,000 price of Snap-On instruments. 

Pryga plans on pursuing an info expertise diploma on the College of Wisconsin-Stout within the fall.
