Wisconsin man given 16 years for shooting at kids throwing snowballs

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Kids threw snowballs at vehicles. A Milwaukee man fired again with a gun.

Now, the person has been sentenced to 16 years in jail after the 2020 incident. William Carson was sentenced on Friday after a jury convicted him in November.

Prosecutors mentioned youngsters have been throwing snowballs at passing vehicles. In response, Carson parked his automobile, acquired out and commenced firing on the youngsters as they ran away. Then, he drove off. Carson was arrested after a police chase with officers throughout a suspected OWI and later crashed. Police discovered a gun that matched the outline of the one used within the taking pictures.

“This can be a exceptional case due to the senselessness,” Milwaukee County Circuit Court docket Choose Michael Hanrahan mentioned. “It shocked the neighborhood, which sees plenty of totally different gun violence, and it shocked the entire nation.”
