Wisconsin Football: 2024 JUCO Target Sets Another Visit With Big Ten Rival
One of the top Junior College recruits in the country had been close with Wisconsin football, but now may land elsewhere.
Joshua Pierre-Louis, a 2024 three-star Junior College corner back, is currently one of the top remaining recruits in the recruiting class. Pierre-Louis has proven himself to be a versatile defensive back while playing for Iowa Western Community College. The recruit had once been in close contact with the Wisconsin football staff, but now could be leaning towards the Illinois Fighting Illini.
Wisconsin Football Likely Out of Joshua Pierre-Louis Sweepstakes Following Recent Recruiting Changes

This past collegiate season as the Iowa Western Community College Reivers claimed their second NJCAA Championship in as many years, a defensive all-star proved himself in a huge way. Corner back Joshua Pierre-Louis led the Reivers defense as he snagged seven interceptions for the team.
Pierre-Louis also recorded 41 tackles, four tackles for loss, and 121 interception return yards on his seven picks. The corner back took one of his interceptions back for a touchdown while he also showcased his return ability this past season. Iowa Western used Pierre-Louis as a punt returner at times due to his speed and field vision.
Before going on to win the NJCAA Championship, Pierre-Louis finished the season in incredible fashion. The corner back recorded four interceptions, 12 tackles, and one touchdown to end his Junior College career.
Following his strong performance this past season, Pierre-Louis made his way into the top-50 Junior College recruits. The exceptional play of the corner back earned him attention from Wisconsin football, Illinois, University of Southern Florida, and Indiana among others.
The recruit kept close contact with the Badgers early on in his recruitment, but since then another program has taken over. The Illinois Fighting Illini have put together one of the largest Junior College classes with three commitments and two other priority targets available. Illinois now aims to land another top target after impressing Pierre-Louis enough on his last visit to secure a second.
Can the Wisconsin Badgers Football Staff Land a Junior College Standout?

Nearly a year ago, Head Coach Luke Fickell searched high and low to find the talent necessary to build the roster he felt he needed. Once again, Fickell is out with his staff searching for players that properly fit into the scheme and culture of the Wisconsin football program.
Joshua Pierre-Louis had been a priority target for the Wisconsin football staff at one point, and the Badgers could make one last push. With Jahsiah Galvan flipping his commitment to the Stanford Cardinal, Wisconsin football now has space in their 2024 class for another talented recruit. Pierre-Louis could potentially become that player given his versatility and talent displayed.

How many homes could be built in Northeast Wisconsin in 2026?
(Stacker) – Homebuilding plays a critical role in maintaining a steady housing supply and keeping prices at sustainable levels. As the U.S. population grows, more housing is needed to meet demand. Since the Great Recession, construction has lagged well behind what is needed, which is one of the main reasons home prices are so high today.
Supply has slowly increased over the past few years but is still below what is needed for the market to balance out. Until that gap closes, prices are likely to remain elevated, and many buyers will likely struggle to afford a home.
So, how many homes are getting built in Northeast Wisconsin in 2026? Is construction increasing or decreasing?
Redfin Real Estate analyzed the rate of housing permits issued in the cities of Appleton, Fond du Lac, Green Bay, Oshkosh and Sheboygan over the past 13 months to find out.
