New Wisconsin Corn leader looks forward to growing organization

The new Executive Director for the Wisconsin Corn Promotion Board wants to get more farmers involved in promoting corn. 

Brenda Damrow Gudex was recently promoted by the board from Communications Director to lead the organization earlier this month.  She tells Brownfield expanding the markets for Wisconsin’s corn farmers is just one of her goals.  “To really increase membership and to make sure that the corn farmers here in Wisconsin know what the promotion board and the grower’s association is doing for everyone, and making sure that we have a place to sell our corn and increasing corn grind at the end of the day.”

Gudex says it’s important to work closely with both the Wisconsin Corn Growers Association and the Wisconsin Corn Promotion Board. “Both of the executive committees of both of those boards have done a lot in the last little while to make sure that that continuity between the two boards stays strong, so I only see that getting better as we move forward.”

Gudex began her new duties as Executive Director September 16th.
