GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Thursday marked a big win for Wisconsin film and television production crews, with new industry investments being offered as a part of the Wisconsin state budget.

The budget allocates funds to establishing a state film office along with tax credits for those who film or produce their projects within the state. Those in support of the investments say they’re hoping the new incentives will help put Wisconsin filmmaking on the map.

Showcasing the state’s versatile landscape while giving a leg up to local talent.

“So, the arts in Wisconsin have been kind of historically under-funded, and I think that overall, this is a really important and exciting moment in history in the state of Wisconsin,” said documentary filmmaker Paige Grube.
