Waukesha County has been named the the wealthiest county in Wisconsin, according to Smartasset, while Door County was 11th.

The financial technology company compared counties across the U.S. on three metrics: median income, investment income and property value. Using these categories, analysts created a wealth index on a scale of 100 and ranked each county nationwide.

What are the wealthiest counties in Wisconsin?

According to Smartasset, these are the 10 wealthiest counties in Wisconsin:

  1. Waukesha County
  2. Ozaukee County
  3. St. Croix County
  4. Washington County
  5. Dane County
  6. Walworth County
  7. Calumet County
  8. Pierce County
  9. Columbia County
  10. Outagamie County

What Wisconsin county has the highest median income?

Waukesha County has the highest median income in the state of $101,639, according to Smartasset. St. Croix County, which is outside the Twin Cities, had the second highest with $97,950, followed by Ozaukee County at $92,258.

Door County was No. 36 with a median income of $68,257. The county’s national rank was No. 940.

What Wisconsin county has the highest investment income?

According to Smartasset, Ozaukee County has the highest investment income at $87,800, followed by Walworth County at $81,542 and Door County at $73,772.

Door County ranked No. 274 nationally.

What Wisconsin county has the highest median home value?

Waukesha County also topped Smartasset’s highest median home value list at $455,434. Ozaukee County came in second at $450,749 and Dane County followed with $434,772.

Door County was No. 7 in the state at $385,734, with its national rank being No. 439.

What Wisconsin county had the lowest ranking in overall wealth?

Langlade County was ranked 72 in overall wealth, followed by Ashland County and Price County, respectively.
