3 children under age 10 involved in northern Wisconsin ATV accident. Four-year old dead.
Three children under age 10 were involved in an ATV accident in northern Wisconsin on Saturday, with one of the passengers, a 4-year-old child, pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at 6:07 p.m. Saturday, reporting an ATV had rolled over near Rueckert Road in Pelican, a town of roughly 3,000 people located southeast of Rhinelander in Oneida County.
Three passengers, ages 9, 7 and 4, were trapped under the ATV.
Witnesses attempted life-saving measures but 4-year-old passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is completing the accident report.
