William “Bill” Smith – Mitchell Republic
William “Bill” Smith, 81, of Mitchell, passed away on Thursday, February 5, following complications from surgery at Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, April 10, at Will’s Funeral Chapel in Mitchell, followed immediately by a reception with coffee and cookies. Bill was born in Alexandria to Laurence and Irene Smith in 1944. He married his beloved wife Carol Vilhauer in 1967 and together they raised their son Troy and daughter Teri in Mitchell.
