SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The South Dakota basketball team fell to the No. 1 seeded Omaha Mavericks Saturday night 100-75 in the Summit League Tournament Semifinals inside the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.

Chase Forte had a team high 24 points on 8-of-17 shooting with three 3-pointers. Kaleb Stewart added 13 points with three triples, while Paul Bruns added 10 points and tallied a team high seven rebounds. Dre Bullock was scored in double-figures with 10 points and had four boards.

A rested Mavericks squad set the tone in the first 10 minutes of the game as they raced out to a 28-11 lead at the midway point of the first half. A 19-2 run from Omaha blew the game open early, with the Mavericks leading 38-11 with 7:02 left in the first half.
