South Dakota Republican Gov. Kristi Noem Wins Primary, Holding off Challenger
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem on Tuesday gained the Republican nomination to hunt a second time period, defeating challenger Steven Haugaard, a member of the South Dakota Home of Representatives.
Noem, who has been talked about as a attainable vice presidential running-mate if former President Donald Trump seeks election once more in 2024, is favored to win the Nov. 8 normal election on this solidly Republican state.
