South Dakota Highway Patrol gets new leader

PIERRE, S. D. (KELO.com) — There’s a new leader at the helm of the South Dakota Highway Patrol.

Governor Kristi Noem has appointed Capt. Casey Collins as the new Superintendent.

Capt. Collins has 15 years of experience within SDHP, including service as the District Three Commander in Rapid City.

Collins will be succeeding the recently retired Colonel Rick Miller.

He will take command effective January 22, 2024.
