South Dakota catfish catch shatters state record
An angler has shattered a 16-year-old South Dakota state document with the current catch of a 67-pound, 8-ounce flathead catfish.
Ethan Evink, who was visiting from Iowa, caught the huge flathead whereas he was fishing with cutbait at daybreak on the Missouri River in Union County.
In line with South Dakota Recreation, Fish & Parks, Evink’s catch shatters a document (63 kilos, 8 ounces) that had stood since 2006.
The company introduced the document on Thursday, stating on Fb: “Ethan Evink of Hospers, Iowa, has set the brand new state document for flathead catfish at a big 67 kilos 8 ounces!
